Scientific evidence shows that massage is a better method for managing back pain than painkillers or surgery.

While massage is often considered a luxury, a majority of folks reaching out for massage are seeking to improve medical conditions such as chronic pain, stress, and anxiety. Though individuals with acute conditions should see a doctor, massage can be an effective way to experience the following benefits:

  • management of chronic neck and back pain as well as pain associated with TMJD, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, fibromyalgia, osteo- and rheumatoid arthritis

  • improved sleep, anxiety reduction and lowered blood pressure

  • increased range of motion, enhanced exercise performance and injury prevention

  • relief of tension headaches and decreased migraine frequency

  • relief of postoperative pain and improved quality and appearance of scar tissue

  • reduction of discomfort associated with pregnancy .

She explains the workings of the musculoskeletal system as well as other systems of the body and provides her clients with tools such as stretches, exercises, and breathing techniques to do on their own between massage sessions.
